Where is the event held?

 

The festival is being held at the The Center Street Ballpark which is located 2 blocks from downtown Moab. The address is 250 E Center St, Moab, UT 84532. 

 

Please note that Google lists the incorrect address for this venue. You can also check out our About Us page to see a map!

How much does it cost?

 

Tickets are $10-$20. You can purchase single day tickets or a ticket for the entire weekend! The weekend ticket includes all the competitions and entertainment on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets can be purchased at the event gate or online. Children 10 and under enter for free. Competitors will receive their tickets with their registration.

Where should I STAY while at the event?

 

If you are wondering where to stay while attending our event, check out our STAY page to see great deals offered exclusively to people coming for our event. Make sure you mention you are with "Scots on the Rocks"!

What will the weather be like at the event?

 

Have you ever wondered what the weather is like in Moab? While it is warm during the day, it can get quite cold as soon as the sun sets! Make sure to check out the forecast to make sure you are prepared for your stay. You can also check out The Weather Channel for more forecasts!

Are dogs allowed at the event?

 

Per Moab city ordinance only trained service animals are allowed in city parks. 
Emotional support and companion animals do not meet the definition of a service animal.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

 

The festival is held in a city park and does have wheelchair access as well as ADA parking.

Should I bring my own chairs?

 

Some areas of the event have seating, such as the bleachers near the ballfields. However, most areas of the festival do not have seating, so you may want to bring seating of some kind, like camp chairs, so you have a place to sit.

Should I bring my own food?

 

You are able to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks into the event if you would like. However, there will be vendors selling a variety of food and drinks! You can see what vendors will be there on our VENDOR page.

What is the Tattoo on Friday night?

 

We have a Tattoo and a Ceilidh on Friday night to kick off our festival. This includes bagpipes, music, dancing, and fun!

Are only the Scots invited?

 

The Moab Celtic Festival is a celebration of all Celts. This is not limited to Scots, but extends to Irish, Welsh and other Celtic nations. Additionally, we invite all, whether Celtic or not, to come to our event. As part of our event, we want to spread our Celtic roots, but also share and educate others of our heritage. People from all backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to attend.
